Our Charter

 

Adult Membership.:

The Society operates a Equal Opportunities Statement and does not discriminate against Age, Class, Disability, Gender, Sex, Health, Race, Religion, Marital Status, Lesbian or GayMen, Spent Criminal Convictions, Trade Union Activity and Unemployment. As in the terms of the Society Constitution.

History of the Society
We the Society are a group of people of all ages and from all walks of life, who are interested in using Metal Detectors for the purpose of recovering and recording history  The society was formed in March 1999 and now has a fixed membership of 40 adults and a Junior section for Boys and Girls under 15 years.  The society hold general meetings on a monthly basis, we welcome everyone who actively wishes to share their interest of this fascinating hobby.  We have always been a family society encouraging younsters in the hobby. This fascinating hobby of ours is highly educational that will broaden the mind, give you excercise and fresh air also the beauty of the countryside with great comradeship.

Committee: Lee Constance, Eileen Bigrigg, Maria Richardson.

All the members of the committee have been involved in the metal detecting hobby for many years and are always on hand to help members with their identification of items and any problems they may have with their detectors. The committee is elected to administer the society for one year and it is hoped that other members will take a turn in committee duties.
