"Another Successful Search For Lost Rings".
The secretary recently received a telephone call from a very distraught lady asking if anyone
from the society would be so kind to take a look on a grass field outside their home for two rings that her husband had lost
whilst grooming the pet dog.
Brian and Mary Booth visited the address and was shown an approximate area were the rings may
have been lost, over the past few days since the rings had been lost many people had attempted to find the items without success.
Brian and Mary started a systematical search of the area and within 15 minutes one ring had been
found closely followed by the other one. The look on the lady's face when presented with the lost rings was a joy to behold,
after "Hugs" "Kisses" and a few "Tears" the lady could not thank Mary and Brian enough for their efforts.
A reminder for the public is that the society offer a free recovery service for any lost metal
items. (Farm Implements, Rings, Keys, etc.)

"Robin Hood" Rally Report
Gale force winds and 27mm of overnight rain, which blew
away all of our erected tented area and damaged all of our other equipment, could not stop the invitation Robin Hood
rally from going ahead.
When members arrived on site a rearranged format for the event was put into action with the secretary's
caravan being used for the control point and also for Mary's kitchen which served hot food all day.
The planned end of rally auction had to be cancelled and will now take place at the next society
meeting.
On the day £430.00. was raised for the R.N.L.I. charity, special thanks to all who donated items
for the event including Viking Detectors, Whites Electronics, Minelab, Joan Allen, Evergreen Detectors and Wilkinsons Stores.
Thank you to our friends from the Bridlington Quay Club, Melton and Belvoir Society, S.O.D.S.
group and other invited guests together with our society members who made the effort to support the charity event in such
terrible weather.
