"Robin Hood" Rally Report

Gale force winds and 27mm of overnight rain, which blew away all of our erected tented area and damaged all of our other equipment, could not stop the invitation Robin Hood rally from going ahead.

When members arrived on site a rearranged format for the event was put into action with the secretary's caravan being used for the control point and also for Mary's kitchen which served hot food all day.

The planned end of rally auction had to be cancelled and will now take place at the next society meeting.

On the day £430.00. was raised for the R.N.L.I. charity, special thanks to all who donated items for the event including Viking Detectors, Whites Electronics, Minelab, Joan Allen, Evergreen Detectors and Wilkinsons Stores.

Thank you to our friends from the Bridlington Quay Club, Melton and Belvoir Society, S.O.D.S. group and other invited guests together with our society members who made the effort to support the charity event in such terrible weather.
